Guardian Equity originally came together by our founder, Trey Stone, partnering with family and friends to take advantage of opportunities in the multifamily marketplace. This small group of investors purchased their first apartment complex in 2005. Since then the company has grown to manage 16 assets with over 20,0000 residents here in Texas.

Quite often we get the question, “Why does Guardian Equity still work with investors on an individual basis instead of using institutional investors like pension funds and insurance companies?” The reason is simple. We prefer doing business with real people, doing real investments, getting real results. The company was originally formed using private equity and our goal is to continue that growth working with individual investors. They are the heart of our company.

This type of organic growth has allowed Guardian Equity to keep the “Mom and Pop” feel of the company by being accountable to real people and not faceless corporations. We believe this accountability keeps our team focused and energized, which leads to better results for our investors.

Our Vice President, Bryan Upton, takes the time to meet and get to know every suitable individual that is interested in learning more about specific areas within Guardian Equity Companies. Those that meet with Mr. Upton find that he is just as knowledgeable about the single-family market as he is the multifamily market. For that reason it’s no coincidence he is the President of Guardian Equity Homes, LLC., which is the single-family division of the Guardian Equity Companies, and is a licensed Real Estate Broker.
